Today, we review the Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer.

To continue the success of Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, HP has just released one more brandnew line of business printers which are high-volume, can perform well as well as print great-looking photos and documents. These printers also deliver very low CPPs which help us save a lot of money. This product line has 3 models. At the price range $299.99, the Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One is our topic today.

Differences between the Officejet 8620 and the Officejet 8610 (which is about $199.99):

The 3 models, in general, are similar together. But, of course, there are more good features when it comes to the later version. Office jet 8610 can print 199ppm – monochrome and 14.5ppm – color. The 8620 does a bit faster: 21ppm – monochrome and 16.5ppm – color. The 8620 offers a thirty-five ADF (automatic document feeder) while the 8610 offers a fifty-page one. Moreover, the touch screen of the 8620 is 4.3″, larger than the 8610’s which are just 2.7″. From this touch screen, you can easily configure your printer. NFC (also known as “touch-to-print” or the near-field communications) is also supported by the 8620. You can read more information about NFC as well as other similar mobile printing technology terms in this article: Mobile Printing Features – 2014.”)

Differences between the Officejet Pro 8620 and the Officejet Pro 8630 (which is about $399.99)

This 8630 machine offers all features which are on the 8620. Moreover, it offers an extra paper drawer which can store up to 250 sheets (so the machine’s paper capacity is 500 sheets in total). Officejet Pro 8630 has OCR software, an extra color set (magenta, yellow, and cyan) ink tanks.

All of these 3 printers are excellent. They all can be your good choices because they are high-volume printers and they have low CPPs (compared to other printers in the same price range). So, it’s up to your needs that you choose the most suitable one for your office.

CPP (Cost per Page)

This Officejet 8620 is regarded as a workhorse. HP rates that this machine can print 30,000 pages/ month. You know, if you want to print thousands pages each month, a normal machine has to use a lot of ink; so if you choose wrong printers with wrong cartridges, that will cost you a lot. But don’t worry, using this Officejet 8620, you will soon recognize that this machine has very low CPPs, compared to other inkjet printers and even to printers which are midrange laser-class on the market.

If you use higher-yield ink tanks of HP (also called “XL”) for this 8620, monochrome pages will run around 1.6 cents/page, and color ones will run about 7.3 cents. In the same $299.99 price range, there are some other machines (in which there are several laser-class ones) —deliver monochrome CPPs of about over 2 cents/page and color CPPs will run around 2-5 cents more than our 8620. These days, nearly all of the modern printers offer us a variety of connectivity options so that we can print from various types of devices no matter that they are in different scenarios. This 8620 supports both wireless network and wired network (also called Ethernet). We can connect this machine to our single PC, using the USB cable. Many mobile printing alternatives are also supported. Wireless Direct is one of them. In fact, that is the Wi-Fi Direct but that is HP’s version. Other useful alternatives are: Apple’s AirPrint, HP’s ePrint, and Google’s Cloud Print. NFC is also supported. If you are unclear about these mobile print options, just visit here to get descriptions: “Mobile Printing Features – 2014.

Moreover, you can scan to or print from your USB drive. You need to setup and then execute the features mentioned above, and then initiate prints from and scans to USB drives, using the control panel. This control panel is spacious and colorful, so you can find it is very easy to use. Printer apps of Hp are also included. These apps allow the Officejet 8620 to interact with various online websites so that you can download and print content, or scan to many cloud sites.

Output Quality

HP printers nowadays are famous for their great printing quality. They give you great-looking documents and they can make respectable scans and copies. When it comes to this Officejet 8620, which is one of the higher-end, the print quality is excellent. You can have your business documents looked superb after printing, even there are loads of graphics and photographs on them. Photos look great. Scans and copies look really close to your original ones.

In general, this multifunctional printer is worth your money. You can print, copy, scan, and fax many documents. This is very suitable for office with high-volume printing needs because of its great print quality, peppy performance, and extraordinary low CPPs. This Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer won’t let you down!
